Vanilla Pudding
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/8 t. salt
2 2/4 c. milk
Mix together sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in milk. Boil over med heat stirring constantly. Boil 1 min. Stir in 2 T. marg. and 1 t. vanilla.
For chocolate- increase sugar 2/3 c., add 3 T. unsweetened cocoa with cornstarch.
Remove from heat, chill.
Smooth vanilla pudding...nothing better...well maybe a vanilla malt! I would love to be able to say, yep I made that from scratch. I think it would be so satisfying. I am not a cook, or a baker. I wish I was. I have become inspired by these recipes. Now I need to find the time to just do it.
As I was looking through the boxes today, I think it is so amazing how old some of these cards are. 40 + years or more. I feel the history. I feel my Grandma, on every little piece of paper.
