Peach Pie
2 cans Bartlett pears
4 T. butter melted
3 T. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. pear juice
1 t. lemon juice
dash cinnamon
Combine butter, flour, sugar syrup, lemon and cinnamon. Cook until thick and clear. Place pears in shell and cover with sauce. Top with whip cream.
I have not had a pear in such a long time. I used to love them out of the can growing up....so I would probably love this pie. It is a perfect pear pie!
One of the items I have of my Grandma's is a wooden toothpick holder. Like her recipe box, and most of her things, it has been painted.....a few times! I love it! It's not something you see, and I don't use it, but I like to look at it. Below is a picture of my Grandma Bea.
