I know back in the day when you sat down to dinner, bread was a must. I think bread is a comfort food. Whenever I make a "nice" dinner, which is not saying much, I always serve some form of bread. A baguette, a Pillsbury loaf or rolls I make in the oven or simply bread and butter. My husband and children are bread people. I can take it or leave it, knowing it fills up my stomach quickly.

My Grandma Bea was the best at making a dinner feel special. She got out her best china, glasses and silverware. She thought of everything. The table cloth, the napkins, fabric of course, and the centerpiece. I know my Mom and sister are the same way now....I try to be, but never use fabric napkins, too fussy for me.

love, krissy girl
