english trifle

English Trifle
1 lrg. can fruit cocktail, drained
1/4 c. sherry
1 pkg. french vanilla instant pudding
2 sliced bananas
1-2 pkg. frozen raspberries, drained
2 sm. pkgs. raspberry jello
1 small pound cake
whipped cream or cool whip

Slice cake in 1/2 " slices. Line bottom & halfway up sides of bowl with cake. Sprinkle cake with sherry. Spread cake with a layer of fruit cocktail, bananas & raspberries. Mix jello, according to instructions and pour over fruit and cake, covering all. Refrigerate until well set. Mix pudding per instructions and pour over jello mixture. When pudding is set, cover all with whipped cream. Serve!

This reminds me a lot of my Grandma. She loved her fruit and pudding. A trifle is something you can really make your own. Add want you want and have fun with it. How can you go wrong with anything that has pound cake in it!
